Dean, I got all the spek in the world for ya.

But I'm gonna tell you right now, my mother ****in' *** can cuss just as
well as you. My grandfather, a retired iron worker and sailor in the Pacific
during WWII, taught me well. I can hang like a mother ****ing sailor with tourette's syndrome. I could make the baby jesus cry.

So how about a cuss-a-thon?

I heard that 'Momma' sent him out with a chainsaw, a cherry picker, his father in law, and a pair of blindfolds. :D

I should have. ****, I'd feel better.

Speaking of, we were in Gulfport today, and drive down Highway 90 from
Highway 49 to Pass Christian.

That's about the most heartbreaking scene you will ever see. There's literally
nothing. No homes, few threes, a patched together road, no commerce.
mostly closed beaches.

The formerly thriving Grand Casino looks like it did the day after Katrina hit.

The analogy of Hiroshima is so real for what has happened here.

The wrath of Katrina will be felt for decades around here, and I am afraid
that large portions of Coastal Mississippi will never recover. It's very sad.

It'll come back. There is only so much beachfront property in the US and no one is making more. In fact, I'd say its ripe for speculative purchase.

Homey, if you had the beans, there are so many lots for sale, it's frightening.
I honestly would say we saw over 60% of the property along the way,
commercial and residential, with for sale signs.

There's practically no construction ongoing either. It's so tragic to see
what has happened to so many lives.

FYI, Dean doesn't have the innerweb at his house - he only posts from work.

Coastal Mississippi sucked anyway. The beaches already sucked and the casinos were the only thing drawing people there.

They're better off.

Sincerely, Gulf Coast neighbor from Mobile.

Bruh, it ain't that bad. Remember, it's the world's largest manmade beach.
We didn't get one naturally, thanks to the Mississippi River leaving its silt
all over the Mississippi Sound.

That's probably a good thing, that way I don't end up banned.

Beach Boulevard in Bay St Louis is simply gone, the storm surge ate the street. All of those homes were destroyed in BSL - even the ones that survived Camille.

All of those homes along Highway 90 in Gulfport are gone, with one or
two exceptions. It's just awful.
