OK, it's from Wal-Mart & it wasn't expensive, but, it does have the ability to play MP3's from CDR/CDRW's. The best part about it is that it has a USB port to play audio from a flash drive & an SD card slot.

I don't have to hear it loud anymore, but driving in the middle of nowhere is the succ for radio reception & I gotta have my tunes...lots of tunes.

I thought it was purty cool.

I need to get one that either (a) has an audio in jack or (b) has iPod integration

Yes I have. ;) However, since I listen to a lot of OTRs and audio books, I decided to go with the usb slot.

looks cool 68.

I used to put stereos in my cars all the time...back in the day.

But my question is how does something like this fit into most new cars? It was easy before, cause most old cars had the same standard stereo opening, but many new cars have a unique opening.

My '92 F-250 has the regular "old style" slot so I'm good. There's a lot of different mounting kits you can buy that'll adapt them into the newer cars.

My wife has a Sable...with the integrated radio/ac-heater unit. When I worked for Ford we affectionately called it the "football" because of its shape. I'd heard they even made an adapter for it, but I never saw one.

I haven't installed it yet. I'm hoping we're drillin' slow tomorrow so I can.

I always wondered if the "kits" looked decent when installed.

Well, actually I made it home late Tuesday night. Took Wednesday off & went to the shop to get my kit ready to go back out yesterday. Got called late last night for another job...this time down by Coalgate.

Best internet connection I've ever had. :D

Last job we were drilling about 30ft every 1 1/2. This job might be 3-5 hrs. per 30.
