No More Fitted Sooner Hats! [Archive] - SoonerFans.com Message Boards

So, it's been about a year since I got my last hat. I only wear Top Of The World 7 3/8 fitted. I need a new one. The Texass panhandle has taken its toll. I go to the mall & ask where all the fitted hats are. I'm told the companies quit making measured hats & have gone to the S, M, L, XL generic variety to cut expenses. :mad: More like pad profits. So now I'm really ****ed. The generic fit hats fit generically. I don't want a hat that stretches, I want one that fits.

Anyone got a clue where I can find an OU baseball style hat in 7 3/8? I'll buy every one they have.

Dude I wear the exact same hat ...Only fitted only top of the world and only 7 3/8 it took me forever to find my last one and that was almost 2 years ago

she said bras don't come that way ! how did you get that measurement ?

The Franchise makes good fitted hats. I've got the Crimson and the White.

I know... they always feel like something ain't right. It's like I'm constantly having to reach up and adjust it.

Fortunately I primarily wear my crusty velcro OU hat. Comfy... stinky... dirty... what a hat should be.

Did you call Top of the World they are in Norman on the West side. I know they just had a huge sample sale. You might be able to get them there.

Ditto. They are north of Robinson on 36th NW. Ask for a special order and you will be fine until Heupel's son is QBing the Sooners.

I've given up on trying to find a good hat. The only fitted hats I find locally are the wool baseball ones (which are too hot). i have a velcro nike one now, but I hate the velcro because it sticks to everything. I'd like one just like I have except either fitted (yeah right) or with one of those cloth strap things.

i recommend nike flexfit hats. they are not as hot as the wool baseball style ones, and for a generic size they fit really well.

I'm going to end up buying every one I find, since they are now no longer being made.

I've got a Franchise Illinois hat that has to be the most comfortable hat I've ever had, and I grew up with fitted hats. My OU hat is one of those stretchy Nike ones (don't remember the company at the moment) and it sucks. Has some sort of sweatband inside it that makes it hot and tighter than it needs to be. I need to find an OU Franchise hat now.

I tried one of the Zephers on yesterday. It fit better than most of the others, but it still doesn't fit the way I'm use to.

No doubt. I've got the Sooner red, Sooner white w/ red stitching, a navy UNC, a bright orange Syracuse, green Michigan St., and a blue Penn St.

i saw a pic of new CU coach Dan Hawkins wearing the exact same shirt int he Denver Post--except it was white with black trim. he was also wearing one of the most gawdawful ugly Nike CU hats.

You know, they shouldn't even MAKE hats that aren't fitted. Luckily I have 4 fitted that I rotate to keep from wearing them out too fast. One white, one gray, one navy all of those with Crimson OU, and the traditional red hat with the white OU.

I hope they never get worn out. If they do, I guess I just won't wear a hat.

I think it's just the photoshopped OU and they added the shading to make it look like the thick stitching will.

that one is velcro close and the white one is stretch fit with a profile of the helmet on the back. :confused:

The new coaches' polos are teh suck. As are those abominations they call "hats".

My lucky green Nike OU cap, on the other hand, is awesome. Yes, it's stretchy-flex or what the f*ck ever they call it, but other than that it's just a normal hat, no earflaps, vents or nothin'. :D

that's so 1992 Nebraska fan it's scary. those and a pair of red polyester sansabelts and you'll be feeling like Herbie Husker in no time.

a couple years ago i went to the CU spring game and the NU ROTC pistol team was apparently in town for a competition and representing at the CU Spring Game....and these guys were the biggest goobers i've ever seen. Pistol Team t-shirts tucked into vintage 1980's gym shorts...crew cuts, pimples, tube sox, the works. and Husker hats just like that one.

I hate hats with crap all over it. I want a red hat with a white traditional OU on it and I don't want flex-fit and I don't want velcro or a plastic adjustment. You'd think it wouldn't be so hard to find a hat that simple, but it is.

go to the bookstore at the stadium. they have 2 hats that fit the bill. <haha>

one is the baseball hat but it is more form fitting than most baseball lids. the other has has the normal consumer ou and i dont think that one is 100% wool.

give it a go.

oh yeah, and all 4 of my fitted caps are wool.

YAY ME! I made a trip down on Campus Corner today & found my TOTW 7 3/8 fitted hat! They told me they still can get them from TOTW but only in limited quantities. Problem solved for at least the next year or so.
