is this really a worst name list or a worst car list?

Some of those names are only bad because of the car associated with it.

To me, it's just names that aren't appealing. Now, I may be biased because
some of them were total POS's, but a "pinto" is something I'd never
want to drive.

Avalanche-I don't want **** falling on me!!!
Escalade-huh?
GTO-no, it's not.
AMC Matador-nuff said...but it has corinthian leather!
Pacer-see Matador, minus the leather.
Highlander-why is it there can be only one when there are THOUSANDS of them on the roads....or is this some Irish thing????
Pinto- Spanish for "burns easily"

It's still all about association with me.

Does a 911 sound like a good car to own?

As far as names go

Most of the names sound silly when you think about it.

Trans Am
Grand Am
Camaro

Now a Barracuda sounds cool, or even a Mustang.

Has there ever been a more contradictory name than the Yugo?

I disagree with those of you who listed the Roadmaster or Diplomat. Those are pretty good names on what were, pretty good cars.

Now you want to talk about bad names?

Acura
anything that's just a number (which would be most German cars like the 750i)
The Escort would be a good name if it wasn't associated with such a pos car.
Olds 88 (i.e., "I drive a 93' 88)

I used to have a '73 Ford Ranchero...it was da bomb, the engine that is.
It threw a connecting rod threw the left side of the block...leaving a hole big enough you could put your fist threw without touching the sides.

Ford engines have the ****tiest oil pumps EVAR!

Corvairs were - and still are cool, no matter what Ralph Nader said!

Yugo joke:
Q: Why does a Yugo have a rear window heater?

A: To keep your hands warm.

Think about it....
