I was offered a job a couple of weeks ago. The hiring manager selected me.
Now it's just up to the HR person to get off their bootay and get me an
offer letter.

:les: HOW LONG DOES THIS TAKE? JEEEEEZE!!

HR, heh. If there is a more worthless department in a company you'd have to try very hard to convince me.

I'm hearing that more companies are outsourcing their HR. Anyone else
hear of this?

HR people.

I got my current job doing an intracompany transfer. After filling out the on-line application I interviewed with the group manager, project manager and technical lead - got the job that day. About two weeks after I started the new job, I got an e-mail from HR that read in part:

Thank you for your interest and application to Job Posting # 14905. After careful consideration, you have not been selected to continue interviewing for this position.

So what did HR say when you called them to let them know you had the job 'InKCMO?

I have not.

There were these people so tied up in red tape and bureaucracy that it took FOREVER for anything to get done . . .even the most simple things, such as filing a single document with a particular office. It had to be stamped and approved by 100 people (whatever) and had to be made in triplicate ten times, etc.

Since you mentioned it, this one is in rare form today. She just hollered
(literally) ANYONE GOT A NEW ORLEANS PHONE BOOK?

She's announced to the entire office that July 3rd is her birthday, and
she will take it off, so she gets a 4 day weekend.

Earlier this morning, she had hiccups pretty bad.

She's also letting the world know that some other secretary in the
building had a hystorectomy and all her bidness.

STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was nice of them to let you know you didn't need to interview for that job any more! I'll bet that other people in the company were ****ed to find out that they still needed to interview!

Aww, I didn't bother talking to anyone - it came from 'JobPostingCoordinator' so I didn't really know who to tell that they're stoooopid. :D

Wow, the hiring manager just sent me a note, he's trying to get HR
to get the offer out the door.

Shoudn't HR get off their butts and do this?

Why?

It's not like they're going to get any money out of it.
