Nah, a lot of those guys started playing when Bush was in office... and now they lose when another Bush is in office. Therefore, this is clearly the fault of the Bush family.

True, but Soccer really took off with the soccer moms and Bill Clinton.
And based upon our performance, these guys may as well work for NASA
in the Space Shuttle program.

I don't really think that the SUV crowd will do any better. They will all run out of gas too early, won't be able to manuever on the field without running into other people and will break down often. They will, however, cost a lot to train and will be outfitted in the finest attire. :D

Is foosball officially dead in the USA yet? I think this pretty much makes it irrelevant.

I always thought it was one of the two sports (with baseball) 7-10 yr old boys can play in the Y leagues in the US, but one you grew out of by 11. Which is when football started getting cooler before rawking in middle/high school.

As a 90s soccer mom, I take no responsibility as my sons moved on to play hockey. However, watch Lee Nguyen. I watched this kid grow up. He is incredible.

He actually had the same soccer skills coach as my daughter. The soccerball control that he had at age 8 far surpassed anything I have seen for a kid that age.

Heh. I guess I just can't see why anyone that isn't still in high school would care about high school football (unless they've got a kid playing). It could be because I thought high school in general sucked. That might be it.
