I will be staying in Norman next month and booked a room at the Guest Inn. Having heard that there was a murder at that place has given me pause. What is okay and what places should I avoid??

Check with Dean. He'll hook you up.

Dean's place is the Marriot/Postal Training Center place. It's awesome. To say it has facilities is putting it mildy. Probably the best place in Norman to stay.

The other place I'd consider is Sooner Legends. It's new and totally remodeled. The dude who owns Bob's BBQ bought the hotel and redid it. Very nice rooms and tons of OU stuff. Very cool to just walk through.

There's two. Don't go to the Sooner Motel.

Where is the Sooner MOtel? Is it the place on Classen or something?
There's a really cool suite at the Sooner Hotel on campus. It has loads of paraphenalia and Sooner vids. My Mom always books it for the longhorn side of the family!

Avoid any place with a known murder history. It just seems like a good rule to follow. :D

I just stayed most of two weeks at the Sooner Hotel, relatively inexpensive and nice, I had no complaints.

What Boarder said.

Dean's Bed & Breakfast on HWY 9 or Sooner Legends.

The End.

Well, I cancelled the Guest Inn and I'm going to try Sooner Legends. Every room is named after a Sooner Legend. It has been open 13 weeks and everything is new (they remodeled the old Ramada). It is $89 for two queens, $99 for a King. Sounded like the suites would be great for football weekends. A queen suite is $129 and a king suite is $139. The price includes a complimentary breakfast each day. I will check it out.

You should check out Dean's place, too. It's like a city.

Hotel Recommendations for Norman?
1. Killing guests is bad for business
2. Don't listen to your mother, the b*tch is nuts. And also dead.
