Thanks LASooner. What a wonderful thing you do for your fellow Sooners. My family members, young and old, count the annual LASooner video release as one of our high points each year. I cant imagine Sooner football without you. :)

I downloaded your video, wow, that was stirring... I didnt get to see alot of OU last year for whatever reason, but a few things struck me... Ill list them if you dont mind...

1. Peterson's freshman year, he had my Heisman vote, I have no idea how anyone watched college football that year, and didnt see him as the most outstanding player. Having said that, watching your film reassured me of a thought I had at that time, AP is the best RB in CF since Herschel Walker, I have THAT much respect for him...

2. I had no idea Rhett Bomar was that adept at the option attack, he looked like a fairly good runner...

3. Man, you guys mustve just had a horribly unlucky season, kinda like us... You look talented, as always, and I hope you return to the OU of years past... It sure is fun watching legendary programs in their classic uni's burn up the field...

Thanks for the video, very well done, I enjoyed!

Highlights aren't always gonna show how good you are. If someone were to try real hard they could come up with a great highlight vid of the OU 90's teams that won 3, 4, and 5 games just before Stoops came here.

Just watched this again, and remembered we never played the "guess the music" game!

The Superman stuff is obvious, but what were the other two? I know I've seen both the movies, but can't remember whicch they were. Was the middle one King Arthur?

Music from "Children of Dune."

Seriously? The Sci-Fi Channel version? I never got to watch those.

Duke o Brewery
9/1/2006, 06:33 PM
The Sci-Fi version of "Children of Dune" was quite possibly the best all-around Dune move to date. Obviously the music was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the acting of the main handful of characters. Certainly not a great film, but better than expected.

Great music choice by LA Sooner.

GottaHavePride
9/1/2006, 09:43 PM
I'll have to go watch it. I love the books, but I couldn't bring myself to watch the old Dune movie. Too many times I've heard how bad it sucked, despite the presence of Patrick Stewart.

Duke o Brewery
9/7/2006, 12:59 PM
The old Dune movie is unusual, very 80's, and doesn't make nearly as much sense unless you've read the book. BUT, its got a lot of unique imagery and although the dialogue is pretty poor, the main characters are all good actors. Naturally, the special effects aren't very special and the 80's music is... well...
