would anyone else on here care to admit that they frequent the Native American casinos that are popping up all over our great state? I actually had a pretty good night last night for the first time in a couple of months, but a lot of the machines were hitting, and that's been pretty rare for the last 3 months. If you could ever figure out how to play these, you could make some pretty good coin.

I would rather be doused with kerosene, set on fire and thrown out a 9th story window than to evar go back.

But that's just me. :O

poker is okay in those places, but you need a fairly large bankroll to play with those fish... sometimes you just get murdered by a ton of bad players sucking out on you

Casinos in Nevada would get shut down by the gaming commision if they had the same rules as Okie casinos.
Bring some lube if you go.

I predict if those injun casinos keep making obscene amounts of money, some paleface politicians may decide to steal their land...again. ;)

I cannot believe that people can be so stupid as to go to those things.

i like to go, I have better luck at any casino execpt Remington Park. I lose everytime i go there. There is rumor that WINSTAR on mile marker 1 on I 35 has had several big jack pot winners and they refuse to pay saying the machine was broke. Now that would send me over the edge

We have one in Perkins, the cars parked outside of it look like salvage yard rejects. I just go by occasionally to pick up the cheap tobacco products from the smokeshop. I donate my gambling dues to our every Thurday Night Poker game.....atleast you have a chance to win a few bucks there. :D

Casinos exist for one purpose: to separate fools from their money. Never forget that. And it doesn't make any difference where they are located, be it in Indian Country, Las Vegas or Monte Carlo. This is as universal a truth as "no good deed goes unpunished".

i'm not sure why we have the rules we do... like Black Jack is ridiculous

they don't want it to be "real" gambling, but the net result is that the gamers lose MORE money

i don't know the house edge on the machines, but i'm pretty sure the Vegas ones pay better due to the competition, do they have to tell you what the payouts are here? it seems like they do elsewhere

No, I'll see him around the 15th of July in Tunica. I just wish the Indian casinos had dice. If you know what you're doing you can actually win at craps, blackjack, and some forms of video poker. Everything else, especially slots, are larcenous.

Nope, and i've heard all sorts of percentages mentioned, but you know how reliable that info can be.

That's what is so screwed up.,,

Have to protect the public from the evils of gambling by......allowing only the worst possible gambling for the public! Pull tabs, fake blackjack, horses, lottery. bleh

I'm not even sure if there is a minimum legal payout percentage in Oklahoma.
I think in Nevada it's around 89% which is unheard of just due to competition.

Didn't pari-mutual horse racing pass back in the day because they convinced voters the vast majority of the wagers would go back out in winners pay-outs?

I know that's irrelevant with regards to this discussion because nobody got to vote on the tribes' ability to open casinos...but its significant because rational people don't generally cotton to crooked houses or joints where the odds are ridiculously in the house's favor.

They didn't get to vote because the tribes are sovereign nations by treaty.

yeah "sovereign"

that's why we had to vote to get the gaming we do have ;)
