The US shows some great fighting spirit and gets a monumental point against Italy. The referee was a disaster but the US fought thru and earned a crucial point.

Go USA !!!!

They really showed alot of heart and spirit in that game and came very close to getting what would have been a deserved win.

I noticed that The Times (London) - sorry no linky - panned the whole match as an example of disgraceful barbarian football. The writer just harped on the nasty play, fouls and red cards and stated that all were well deserved.

Well, it was The Times.... :rolleyes:

What do they know? They like watching matches where people just stand around sipping sherry while they pass the ball back and forth shouting "Hah! Good show, old chap!" and nonsense like that. ;)
