Sat down and watched the whole series in a couple of hours.

Best two hours of Star Wars in 25 years.

They showed most of Vol 2 as a preview to Ep 3 at the theater I went to. I liked how they had links between the two.

Volume 2 is all over the Internet. Like at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BCE8Q4/qid=1150523242/sr=8-6/ref=sr_1_6/103-3561783-2258215?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=130).

as a star wars fan, I have never heard of these cartoons. Do they explain more than the craptastic episodes 1 and 2?

a lot more.

Episode III is a lot better if you've seen them

Yeah, and Mace is much more of a badass too. Dude was pretty cool.

I guess it was about a year ago, I read where Lucasfilms was going to redo the Clone Wars cartoon series as a CGI TV series before they start the live-action tv series in 08.

Haven't seen anything about it in awhile though so they may have just ditched the idea and decided to focus only on the live action series.

Nerd rhetoric: I thought episode III was great. Showed the transition of Anakin to Vader pretty dang good, but episodes I and II were like dry humping, somewhat exciting but left alot to the imagination.

There's a live action Star Wars series coming out?

Definitely check it out Mongo. Vol 1 was a series of very short, but pretty cool vignetts. Vol 2 is more or less the story of the opening crawl of Ep 3. It has fewer, but longer scenes, and it gets around to doing some story telling.

If you liked Ep 3, I don't see any way that you won't like Clone Wars.

Sweet, I'll look them up. I've got the RISK edition of Star Wars, anyone want to play?:)

And if you really really want to see some jedi kicking some serious butt, you have to see this. Mace has a scene in each volume where he goes TO TOWN.

Yeah, Vol 2 ends right where ep III picks up. Explains the cough of grievous.

Was Grievous an ex-jedi that got butchered into a human/robot hybrid? Give me the spoiler

Grievous was a warlord (a Kaleesh, to be extra-nerdy) who Dooku and Sidious wanted to lead the separatist armies. He refused until they bombed his shuttle and blamed the Republic, and when he woke up with his vital organs in an ultra-cool cyborg body, he agreed. Dooku taught him lightsaber technique (as he says in Episode III) but he doesn't have Force powers.

Edit: I'd apologize for spoiling but (a) he asked for it and (b) it does not in any way cheapen the viewing of these kickass cartoons.
