is painful on the ears and sinuses.

The saw the guys are using to cut the cracked floor tiles out is defeaning.
I put earplugs in and it's still loud. And dust everwhere. Just what a guy
recovering from respiratory issues needs.

But it must be done to sell slickhouse and move.

I was told to NEVER try removing ceramic tile. So I haven't.

The HAMMAH and the large spike chisel get them up, then there is the
merciless scraping to get the mastic and grout up.

If there is mastic on the floor somebody should be shot.

Latex modified thinset mortor should be used.

I only use mastic for wall applications.

I don't know if it's mastic or not. Judging from the effort to remove it,
I'd say it has to be mortar.

mortor is typically gray.

Mastic is typically white.

There are exceptions, but usually it involves marble.

For a normal tile repair, I cut the grout line with a diamond blade mounted on a grinder and cut the tile a few places before chipping it out with an air hammer or rotory hammer with a chisel in it.

Dust is a must.

This was dark gray, and the new tiles are backed with a dark gray mortar.
they'll be back to grout very soon.

The rabbit will not leave for long; the rabbit is acclimated to us rather well
and only leaves when slickdaughter runs after him.
