Am I the only one who thinks these retro plaid shorts the youngsters are sporting is uglifying this great nation? Can this trend be stopped?

I swear it looks like a Herb Tarlek convention everywhere I turn.

Who will join me in ending this assault on good taste? ;)

Okay, I will reserve judgment on this issue until Dean or Lid state their respective opinions. ;)

it's madras, not plaid. it's part of the return to preppy look the imperialist pig Bush administration has made culturally viable by valorizing the domination of one class over the exploited. the flip up collar on yer polo shirt is back too. welcome to the early 80's....again.

hang the oppressors!

I knew there was a reason that I liked them. Not the flip up collar part, but the rest.

Derived from the Gaelic "cru" meaning bloody , and "ford" meaning 'pass or crossing,' the CRAWFORD surname is believed by most to mean a crossing of blood. Believed to be first assumed by the proprietor of the lands and barony of Crawford, in Lanarkshire, Scotland. A possible similar derivation comes from "crawe" meaning 'crow' and "ford" meaning 'pass or crossing.'

My name is from Scotland and means crossing of blood so don't mess with a man's kilt.

Madras shorts...

If you're under about.. 22 years old, knock yourself out. They sure beat those ridiculous "manpris" being worn.

If you're over the age of 22 years or so.... not even at the country club or yacht club..

As for flip flops or sandals for men.... No... just.. no.

Herb: You know what this jacket says? It says "Trust me. Sign my deal. I know what I'm talking about."
Bailey: You know what it says to me? "Do not adjust your set"
