I know this is a bit of a delayed reaction and old news but I have been swamped at work and home since I got back. I just wanted to share a few of my favorite pics and one story...then I am done.

Eating at the market in Merida...there was a guy three tables down from us taking a nap on the top of the table..it was siesta time after all:

And I'd just like to add to what Chick jokingly said about the siestas. She ain't lying. The Messican lunch hour apparantly ends at 11:30am. I can't tell you how many times we went to do something (not so much in Cancun, but the real Mexican towns we visited), and they were closed. Complete BS. :)

Also, I learned that Chick has a penchant(sp) for losing things. Like.....her birth certificate which was needed to leave the country, our bus tickets back to Cancun, and other assorted papers.

Oh, and as funny as you people think I am, Messicans think I'm 10x funnier. Can't tell you how many times I made random people laugh. Heck, I usually wasn't even trying. I asked one hotel check in girl if she spoke english (cause I didn't know how to say what I needed to say in Spanish), and she busted up laughing. Schools girls laughed. Some dude trying to sell me an old ashtray laughed. I was F'ing hilarious.

Did y'all see the chimpanzee out on the beach? It sat there and drank mixed drinks and took pictures w/ people?

I've got one with the monkey on my back flipping the bird.

Yes...but we DID get out of the country and we DID get on the bus back to Cancun..that is what matters. Right? :O

And yes, I am sure they are still laughing at you in Mexico...and I mean that in a good way. ;)

I'm kinda used to it. I think for a while alot of posters were even hesitant to mention that they had female children b/c of me.

Yep. His owner brought him out there every day and took pics of the chimp w people. It was pretty cool. He'd reach for your drink and down it with a quickness. He got two of mine.

We had one of those people who walk up and down the beach selling things ask us for our drinks. I finally gave him mine. But I saw no monkeys...maybe next time.

No no no...I would have been completely and totally lost without Stanley. It took both of us to keep me in line.

And we actually only got really drunk once I think.
