You can look long and hard and not find such a dramatic price increase after a 4-7 season. It will be interesting to see in August what attendance is like.

I'm glad everyone is just ignoring how much money Boone Pickens is dumping into their athletic program. When they mysteriously, sudddenly start bringing in 5-star athletes and beating BIG 12 opponents, I'm sure people will have never seen it coming... Fortunately, they'll still have that one weakness that sticks OUt like a sore thumb, which is their inability to control themselves in the face of OU. 77-16-7 ain't changing for their favor anytime soon Boner Pickens!

Pile of crap. Putting a bunch of bricks around a pile of crap doesn't make it anything more than the same pile of crap it was before - it just has more bricks and more seats from which to watch the almost criminally poor excuse for a football program they have.
This is really kind of funny. They were given a freaking blank check, and this was the best that that ridiculous excuse for a university could come up with.

COngrats on getting new facilities. Problem is that you are Oklahoma State. Regardless of your facilities you will continue to have your *** handed to you by Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Texas A&M. Hell I consider Baylor more of a threat than OSU.

No, I mean NFL-quality. As far as what the players will see on a day-to-day basis, it will be the best in the country. There will be an underground tunnel connecting the $55 million dollar indoor practice facility with the new locker rooms (not sure on all schools, but OU's indoor facility, which is very nice, cost somewhere in the $5-$10 million range). The players will have a chef cook their food in a new dining room included in the west endzone, along with a football-only weight facility. The west endzone is costing what the north and south sides cost together. It will be the best quality facility in the country. The athletic director and Boone, when deciding what kind of indoor practice facility to build, went across the country and found the best, and are making sure that OSU is raising the bar on what is the best in the country.
This is classic Aggy.
Nearly everything in this post is demonstrably untrue. But you can be sure our Aggy believes every word of it, because of that curious mentality common to small town chamber of commerce booster types, bumpkins, hayseeds, thin-skinned provincials, and Aggy of all stripes. That is, these folks do without for so long that when they acquire anything new or an upgrade of any item, then that item is automatically the very best there is, if for no other reason that it is new, and it is theirs. That, and complete and willing ignorance of the comparative facilities, of course.
That's why Aggy and his cousins assault every Music Man and Peddler of Elixirs whose balloon mistakenly lands in Aggy's remote, God-forsaken hamlet with constant seeking of approval, i.e. "What do you think of our fancy new high school gym/four lane highway/peach festival/municipal swimming pool/football stadium? Isn't it the greatest thing you have EVAR seen?" To which the answer is of course, "yes", since there is snake oil to sell to the rubes and no use bursting their balloons.
In this case, Aggy desperately seeks affirmation on a site full of Real Aggy, folks who never think about Stoolwater unless they mistakenly step in it, and even then could care less. Aggy thinks that Real Aggy will be impressed with the remodling of City Hall, and is bursting his buttons with pride, begging for praise. Sadly, Real Aggy is having none of it, recognizing the reality of the situation: Aggy's new set-up keeps them from falling to the level of Baylor and KU, brings them about even with Sand Aggy and Kansas Aggy, and leaves them well behind OU, :texan:, Real Aggy, and Nebraska. In other words, tied (maybe) with Tech for 4th best facilities in the South, which is about where they will finish yearly no matter how much they spend.

I give aggie a little credit for trying to move into the 21st century but aggie is just going to take Boone's money and spend it all on viagra, liqour and livestock.
This idea that Stoolwater is going to become irresistable for anyone that isn't redundantly familair with Meagen's Law is still laughable. Rectuits are going to come from far and wide to practice that hurry-up, goal line offense in a fancy new concrete mauseleum.

I remember going to the stadium back in either '94 or '95 for the 5A state championship game and thinking that Taft Stadium in OKC was better than this. And let me tell you Taft, if you've never been there, is a ****hole.

You know that if OSU never had Barry Sanders, Iba would remain ancient history and no one would care enough to invite them to a REAL conference.
This is FACT... people are going out on a limb constantly trying to make them look competitive and respectful.
Nothing would make me happier than to see them fumble and air ball themselves OUt of the BIG 12 and end up OUt of the picture. Nebraska is a whole lot more fun to compete with traditionally, anyway...
