I know this should go on another board, but I'm putting it here. ESPN referred to her last night as "formerly Stacey Dales-Schumman", to me implying that she is no longer married. Is this the case? If so, I guess I missed the news.

And for the record, I don't have any facination with Stacey like some of you other perves, was just curious about the OU alum.

I know it was mentioned somewhere on here a couple of weeks ago that she had separated and was using only her maiden name. I don't think she's officially divorced yet.

Anytime she'd be doing her ESPN thing, whether it was on the sidelines or in the studio, I was ALWAYS happy to see her. She smart, she's articulate and she's beautiful.

I think she's awesome and I hope she kicks some serious a$$ with her new team.

Meh. I went to a Women's Bball party once and she seemed cold. Of course, I was a drunk idiot, so I can understand. :D

She's out for the season.



Stacey Dales' season appears to be over. The Sky guard will be out six to eight weeks while rehabilitating a bruised bone in her right knee.
The Sky's last game is Aug. 13, which is less than nine weeks away.
''We don't know about later in the season,'' Sky spokeswoman Marla Krause said Monday. ''We don't know how much of the season will be left. Why chance it?''
Dales suffered the injury Wednesday in an 86-73 loss to the Seattle Storm. She experienced excruciating pain in the middle of the night, but Krause said she will not need surgery.
It has been a tough season for Dales, who came out of a one-year retirement to play for the Sky (1-8). The former All-Star has averaged 4.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
Dales, 26, will resume her position as an ESPN sideline reporter and studio analyst, but Krause said the possibility of her retiring from the WNBA for good ''hasn't been discussed.''
Dales revealed in a recent Los Angeles Times story that she suffers from Raynaud's Phenomenon, which can cause numbness in fingers and toes. The condition sometimes is triggered by cold weather or air-conditioned gyms.

In essence, she's starting from scratch, especially with a "new" name (she separated from her husband and has dropped "-Schuman" from her once-hyphenated last name) and a new number, 12, on the back of her jersey. (Dales wore 21 in college and in Washington, but deferred to teammate Brooke Wyckoff, who also has worn the number, because she felt Wyckoff deserved it since "she played in the league last year" and is a five-year veteran.)

That's too bad. Sounds like she wasn't very happy.

I knew Jodie Foster was a lesbian, I didn't know she played basketball in addition to acting though. Good for her.
