The Masters brings in Spring and the US Open brings in Summer for most golf fans!!! Its fun to see the best players in the world get tested USGA style. In 74 Hale Irwin won by 2 with a 7 over par 287 on this golf course. If it plays that tough this year it should be fun to watch!!!

Possibly. The US Open is probably the toughest golf of all the majors. Usually one of the top golfers in the world wins this tournament. I'm going with Retief Goosen this year. He putts fast greens as good as or better than anyone in the world.

I'll go out on a limb and say Tiger is going to miss the cut this year.

I just don't see a no name winning this one. It's just too incredibly hard. and it will really separate the best golfers in the world from the qualifiers, imo.

man, that 5 inch rough looks nasss-T. I do not see a guy winning this that doesn't hit the narrow fairways. I'm hoping for a battle of attrition. Something over par while listening to them whine about it would be sweet.

oh, and I gotta go with Man-boobs. He's just playing well and he's a fan favorite in that area.

My dark horse is padraig. He's COMPLETELY off the radar right now, but I think he shows up.

manboobs isn't going to win...and it'd be too easy to say VJ is playing well coming into US Open week..nobody is expecting anything from Tiger which probably makes him more dangerous. Els isn't back in form yet.

I'll go Couples if his back stays healthy, with Goosen as a reserve pick.

Goosen's complete colapse last year was a total shocker.

It will make for great drama if Eldrick's in one of the last groups out on Sunday, but I am not so sure he will be able to keep it together for all 4 rounds.
