one of my favorite songs:

If you ever plan to motor west,
travel my way, take the highway that's the best.
Get your kicks on Route sixty-six.

It winds from Chicago to LA,
more than two thousand miles all the way.
Get your kicks on Route six-six.

Now you go through Saint Louis
Joplin, Missouri,
and Oklahoma City looks mighty pretty.
You see Amarillo,
Gallup, New Mexico,
Flagstaff, Arizona.
Don't forget Winona,
Kingman, Barstow, San Bernardino.

Won't you get hip to this timely tip:
when you make that California trip
Get your kicks on Route sixty-six.

Won't you get hip to this timely tip:
when you make that California trip
Get your kicks on Route sixty-six.
Get your kicks on Route sixty-six.
Get your kicks on Route sixty-six.
Get your...on
Get your...on
Get your...on
Get your kicks on Route sixty-six.

I love Route 66. I am actually a partial owner of Route 66. They sold 1'x1' squares to people so they would have to have 75% approval of "landowners" to tear it up or whatever else. They tell you where you square is located and give you the exact cordinates. Very cool preservation idea and a very cool "piece" of history.

I wonder how much you could get for it on EBay.

Flagstaff, Arizona.
Don't forget Winona,
I drive on it every day.

Our guest bath has Route 66 wallpaper. We got a couple of the cheap Route 66 signs to hang in there. I wish the wallpaper was still available because I need to redo the room.

I never thought about that. That would be interesting to know though.
