Book won't be on that much, i doubt shot put is a big emphasis of the coverage.

i used to think my buddy Scott who was WAY into his screen in screen TV was goofy....but i'm starting to think that's pretty cool.

Looks like he finished 12th, just short of another All-American honor.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Kevin Bookout's quest for a third consecutive All-America title ended in disappointment.

Bookout finished 12th in the shot put finals at the NCAA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday, June 11, at the Alex G. Spanos Track Complex.

The Stroud, Okla., native struggled to produce a good effort as his best throw only traveled 60 feet, 7.25 inches (18.47 meters).

He had thrown a personal best 63-11.25 (19.18) in the qualification round Thursday.

Florida State's Garrett Johnson won the national title with a best of 66-7.00 (20.29). He passed Brian Robison of Texas (66-5.25, 20.25) with his next-to-last throw. Robinson's effort came of his first attempt.

Bookout won All-America honors in 2003 and 2005. He did not participate in the 2004 Championships after ungoing shoulder surgery during the basketball season.

The result completes the Sooners participation in the NCAA Championships. Oklahoma walked away with one All-American, pole vaulter Chip Heuser, who finished among the top eight Americans in Friday's final round.
