Three on May Ave:

La Baugette on May (the real deal one)

"Nice" side of Papa Dio's

Sophabella's is pretty good, too...(though I went there on New Years Eve a while back, and the wine may have clouded my memory)

Try Juniors in the Oil Center off the Northwest Expressway. They have a fabulous Ceasar salad. Or you could do Nomads on N.W. May Ave. Among many menu items, they have the best pizza in town, but with a great atmosphere.

If you dont care about price, theres always the Coach House. The food is wonderful, but if I'm going to pay 30 t0 40 bucks for an entree, Bob Stoops better be sitting next to me. :D

Sleepy Hollow... Great place, had a unique feeling, but something happened and it went downhill. I hadn't been there in forever but decided to go one night several years ago... very disappointing evening.

Soonrboy, is Eddy's still nice? Haven't been there in prolly 20 years or so. Awesome steaks, best tabouli ever. Their house dressing was really good too.

I loves me some restaurant threads :)

I loves me some restaurant threads :)I dunno about Eddy's, but Jamil's is still nice. I think the deal with Sleepy Hollow was that ownership changed. I went there for my bday 4 years ago and was disappointed in my chicken fry.

PQ, Have you tried Maria's yet?

Geeze I was disappointed in everything. It used to be nice but it was all run down-looking and I agree, the food was not even close to the same.

Is Maria's the new place over by gff? I need to check that out

I don't think the decor in Eddy's has changed since 77. It is quite hilarious, but great food...

Maria's is the one in the small shopping center east of 5th St. Park right before Telephone Rd.

Nonna's (http://www.nonnas.com/) is great.

If you like Ethiopian food, I've heard Queen of Sheba (23rd & Macarthur) is good.Has anyone tried Daddy Hinkle's (http://daddyhinkles.com/restaurant.html)? I've been curious if it's good.

I've heard great things about that place.Kaiser and I had dinner at Daddy Hinkle's. It was good. We had dinner off their more limited patio menu.

The worst steak I've had in quite some time was at Daddy Hinkle's. Perhaps it was an off night, but I personally won't ever take that chance again.

The food's awesome. $10 bucks for lunch and there's no way you walk out hungry. Give yourself an hour and a half and pace yourself. I think dinner is in the $20-25 range.

you are cheating yourself if you live in the land of stereotyped late 80's media images (and attending jokes).

Gaucho Grill is a liitle pricey, but good, but my new favorite is Il Tratorria or La Tratorria in downtown OKC in the old Montgomery building. Excellent food, not your cookie cutter Italian place. They also make a decent Martini!
