it's slow. im digging for ammo for the co-workers and i run across this....

it's funny that all the whorens think its odd that we pick a starting point of 1950 as the series record blah blah blah but check this out. it seems the shoe is on the other hoof ro some sheite like that.....

Mack Brown By The Numbers
Coaches with active streak of at least 13 consecutive winning seasons
Bobby Bowden (Florida State) 28
MACK BROWN (TEXAS/NORTH CAROLINA) 15

any particular reason they picked 13? perhaps the other seasons he was head coach, they weren't winning? prolly.

Coaches with active streak of at least 13 bowl appearances in a row
Bobby Bowden (Florida State) 23
MACK BROWN (TEXAS/NORTH CAROLINA) 13
Phillip Fulmer (Tennessee) 13

im guessing they meant "head coaches" stoops has more than 13 if you date back to assistant days.

NCAA's winningest coaches: Last nine years
1. Bobby Bowden, Florida State 91-21 .822
2. MACK BROWN (TEXAS/NORTH CAROLINA) 90-22 .804
3. Phillip Fulmer, Tennessee 88-23 .793
4. Lloyd Carr, Michigan 86-24 .782
5. Bill Snyder, Kansas State 84-29 .743

why does it have to be 9?why can't it be 10? or..........6 lol ill tell you why. because stoops would break a nike boot off in his azz in this category at 6 years.

NCAA Division I-A head coaching records since 1990
By victories
1. Bobby Bowden, Florida State 155-30-1 .836
2. MACK BROWN (TEXAS/NORTH CAROLINA) 137-45-1 .753
3. Bill Snyder, Kansas State 130-52-1 .713
By winning percentage (minimum: 70 victories)
1. Bobby Bowden, Florida State 155-30-1 .836
2. Phillip Fulmer, Tennessee* 122-29-0 .809
3. MACK BROWN (TEXAS/NORTH CAROLINA) 137-45-1 .753
4. Bill Snyder, Kansas State 130-51-1 .713
* Fulmer: since 1992
they made an exception for fullmer.....why not stoops :) again, cause he'd make schmuck look like one of jerry's kids

:texan: This just confirms what I've held as my opinion for years now. MACK BROWN IS DEFINITELY A HUGE PILE OF NUMBER 2!

side note:

is it odd to anyone else that brwon has been at this school for 8 years and they still have to include north carolina stats for mack?

BUT>>>>> they only seem to include the 2 10-1 years at north carolina not the 2 1-10 seasons. with such an accomplished coach, why wouldn't you include stints at middle valdosta anallube state etc?
