So, there are lost of people on the innerweb that care about me. I get several e-mails/day from friends concerned about my erections and girth, wanting to refinance my mortgage and offering to send me truckloads of Val/ium for dirt cheap.

Yesterday I received a weird e-mail...from ME. The name in both the From and To box was my e-mail address. The subject was "557" and the message was "969". What does this mean? Did someone actually hack into my e-mail and send me a message? Is it the feds? What should I do? Is my sensitive information (see previous note about girth) safe?

Serious answers only please.

TIA

p.s. Should I be posting the daily stock tips I receive via e-mail? I hate for you guys to miss out.

anyone can send email as anyone else, it kinda sucks

lots of viruses will spoof email addresses it finds from people's address books, or cached webpages

For future reference, it is extremely difficult to interpret a post as being of a serious nature when it includes a :texan:.

For present reference, it wasn't of a serious nature. :texan:

By why waste the time of just sending a couple of numbers???

Don't they care that my wife isn't satisfied in the bedroom???

The this-thread starter was quite explicit and laying out the rules.

i'm not sure, i get totally blank ones sometimes

i'm wondering if they are just test runs to see what addresses bounce or to make sure the script or whatever works

Maybe they are just trolling to see if you reply to yourself.

You are absolutely correct. I didn't see that. I've reported my post.

Won't that cause hair to grow on your keyboard?
