that nobody cares about. I'll be surprised if you click on this and even more surprised if you give each movie a rating or even bother to put the ones you've seen in order. I mean, the list is too long, you'll probably have to put it into a spreadsheet or something in order to even do it right, and it really doesn't matter. But anyway, I'm going to, so here's the master list of what i could find, some of which I didn't even know were movies much less comic books or graphic novels. In fact, some of them i don't even consider as real comics even though I know they were (like swamp thing or howard the duck). And I didn't include things like Casper or Richie Rich or any TV movies or old assed movies. So there.

saw it in the theater and let's just say the old couple a few rows down on my right were overheard saying, "I can't believe they are showing this".....

(but the movie itself sucks and you shouldnt watch it)

Really, you thought it sucked?

The climax is sort of a let down (there is an incredibly miscast actor), but for the most part I really liked that movie.

As for your list, I'll just say that Batman Begins is my #1, and I think the Spider-Man movies are over-rated in general.

I thought it sucked because it felt like i was watching a play.

zero character delvelopment. you come into the middle of a story and leave before it is over.....thought hurt was good but wasn't impressed with a few of the actors or the son's forced storyline.

My favorites:

Spider-Man 2 9.5
Spider-Man 9.0
Superman 9.0
Hellboy 9.0
X-Men 9.0
X-Men 2 9.0
The Crow 8.9
Constantine 8.8
Superman II 8.5
Batman Begins 8.5
Batman 8.0

However, the best "superhero" movie of all time is "The Incredibles", rating a solid 10.

There is something about the story in Batman Begins that lowers it on my list. Showing all of the origins and stuff is awesome though. Spiderman 2 is my highest mainly because of the whole train fight scene (in spite of the performance by Harry Osbourn).

Captain America 1991 1.0
Hulk 2003 0.2

These are rated on how they made me feel afterwards. I really loved both Sin City and V for Vendetta, and felt truly inspired afterwards. Contrast that to Captain America where I fell asleep, and the Hulk, where I turned green and rampaged on the military. Come to think of it, that was probably the purpose of the movie. Okay, it gets a couple tenths of a point.

See, that's what's starting to turn me off about these movies. That fight was completely unbelievable to me. I remember spidey being quick, durable, smart, and strong. He wasn't SUPER strong, though, so stopping a train was pretty much out of the question unless he had a plan. His plan sucked, not to mention the physics made my head hurt.

It was the same with the latest X-men movie. Why did magneto rip up the whole bridge? It completely kills the fantasy for me and ruins the movie.

Wow NormanPride, your list is almost but not completely unlike mine. Good job.

I'm wondering if DC reader vs Marvel reader has anything to do with the feelings of the movies for most people. I'm more of a marvel guy but I still have Superman pretty high. I almost tied it with Spiderman. I've never really read any "graphic novels", but Hellboy is one of my faves too.

I thought Spidey was one of the strongest in the Marvel universe, but I'm no expert.

Batman Begins just didn't hit any sour notes for me at all. Frankly, I'm a little surprised at how much I like that movie. It's not like I'm some kind of long-time Batman fanboy or anything, but for me, everything worked. The action, the story, the humor, and maybe the best all-round acting I can think of in any superhero movie. I've found myself sucked into it multiple times this month on HBO, and that's rare for me.

With the Spider-Man movies, I just don't like the action scenes. They just do nothing for me at all. It seems like there is always something that happens that pulls me out of the moment (Aunt May hooking the gargoyle or whatever with her umbrella for instance.)

There's some other stuff that I don't like too much in Spider-Man (there's been a couple of real groaner jokes in both films), but I don't think they're that bad. I just don't think they're nearly as good as many others do. Different Strokes I guess.

same thing for me, grandma hanging by the gargoyle, etc... it seemed like it was geared more to 10 year olds. Which is fine... just didn't enjoy them as much as I thought I would.

Batman Begins and The Incredibles are right up there with Superman on my list.

See, I never read much of either, but all my friends were into Marvel. I liked a lot of the DC comics, though. I've got a real soft spot for IronMan.

Really, the middle group is there not because I didn't like them, but because I didn't think they were amazing. The ones at the top and the bottom were the amazing ones, IMO.

Spider-Man has super strength. Proportionate strength of a spider-according to Marvel.com he can lift 15 tons. Considering that spider silk is one of the strongest materials known to man, I suppose it's kinda believable that he'd be able to stop a train. Well, not really. The kinetic force of the train was probably a lot more than 15 tons. But he is super strong.

It's very much too bad that nobody can just go to a movie anymore, because V for Vendetta was a very good flick that way too many people formed their opinion on before they got into the theater.

I thought Superman Returns was a good movie. Coulda done without the kid.
