No, she doesn't work here on Mondays, but her daughter
delivered her baby at 7 months yesterday. 2.5 pounds, 15 inches.
Gotta stay in NICU for a month or so. So far, so good, considering.

She was wigging out anticipating the worst on Thursday because
her daughter had some minor cramps. Well, I guess she knew,
or pessimism paid off.

Hopefully, mom and baby will be just fine. Daddy is a MESSICAN!
legalized by marriage.

Scary stuff... For all the joking we do here, I hope everything turns out fine.

I do too. It's got to be incredibly hard on their whole family right now.
There's nothing more wonderful than a child.

a month in NICU is probably pretty expensive... but unless there was something else complicating things, 7 mos should have a good prognosis

Yeah, generally 7 months turns out ok. The babies start putting the
weight on at 8 and 9 months, so jus feed the lil' fella, he'll be ok.

They are on Medicare, so we're picking up the tab. The secretary makes sure everyone knows all of thier business.

My wife is a NICU nurse and she sure bitches a lot about all the medicare babies and the need for spanish-language translators. ;)

My 2.5 can be a hellcat, but she'll always be daddy's little girl. :D

I still don't see why premature babies need translators.

There is a woman here at work whos grandson was born at 7 months (about the same size as this baby) and by now you'd never know he came early. Very healthy, same size as the rest of the kids his age (actually he is a little above average for kids his age).

Hope all goes well for them and the baby gets healthy.
