Have you ever noticed when you stand beneath a Mimosa tree it feels like it is misting? Guess it must be the nectar. I've never experienced that with any other tree. Just some Sunday afternoon trivia. Carry on...... ;)

Our Crepe Myrtle tree does the same thing. It is sap and it is a bad thing.
It isn't good for the paint on the car and it means the tree is sick.............

Really? I've got a Crepe Myrtle and I never noticed that it dripped. I must go outside and stand under it for awhile. If it drips sap that means the tree is sick? My Mimosa tree seems extremely healthy. Go figure......

The one by our front door has some sort of fungus and it drips sap. So we spray it to make it go away. Our other two Crepe Myrtles don't drip.
I don't ever remember a Mimosa tree dripping, but it has been years since I've seen one. We used to collect the seed pods when I was a kid.....
