i got the sons hand me down ps2 so i can have it to play at work..
I have one of them disk lens cleaner but i took the whole thing apart to use the canned air to clean the dust out. can you also use a cloth and alcohol on the lens and be okay?

You're probably ok with the alcohol, but no guarantees - I've never done that.

I would think so. It probably says somewhere not too, but that's just so you'll spend more money to use the stuff you're supposed to use. I seriously doubt it would hurt anything.

i was just thinking the lens needs cleaned because his new one plays alot of the games the old one wouldn't.. games that had minor scratches..

the newer ones might have better oversampling rates or something (i think that is the right word)

btw , storms suck at work cuz at times it knocks out my dish network signal.

thankfully I don't get paid for what I do, but for what I know also.

However, I can't play a friggin PS2 at work!

why, when this ps2 was new it would automatically play the games. now it goes to the browser screen and it takes days to read the disk.
