Luck of the mom

My mom and stepdad got rear ended last night. They had just bought a PT Cruiser about 2 weeks ago (I really tried to talk them out of it) and of course they get rear ended. They were OK and the car is still driveable, but I guess the rear door is going to have to be replaced. I don't know how bad it is.

The worst part about it is they hate the PT Cruiser (well duh) and were going to take it back to Bob Moore this week and get something else. They had already talked to them and they were going to give them their money back no questions asked. I doubt that is going to fly now.

Repeat after me Mr insurance man the car just dosen't drive like it used to we are scared of it.For some reason it jerks hard to the right every now and then fix it or total it.

Take the car and the insurance check to the dealer and offer both for a new car. They may be able to make a profit by fixing it at low cost and selling it another sap (who likely won't know about the accident).

I guess they talked to the Bob Moore dudes and they said they'd fix it (with the insurance money) and still give them their money back. That wouldn't have happened if it had been me.
