Slideshow software opinions (Photodex)

Anyone have any recommendations for nice, inexpensive slideshow/video editing programs?

I downloaded the trial version of Photodex ProShow Gold and like the features, but it has already locked up on me twice. Any others that have similar features, but that are more stable?

I'd like to keep it under $100. Thanks for the help.

I like Windows movie maker. I guess that might work if you use pictures. If you actually want to make a power point type thing, that wont work, and in that case, just ignore my post.
