why I haven't turned my ankle playing basketball since I started playing in low top shoes again?

It seems counterintuitive.

Obviously she didn't want to tax your intellect with trivial information ;)

Contrary to what you seem to believe, there is minimal support gained in wearing high tops.

that doesn't explain why I've had BETTER success with low tops.

Maybe it is because High tops look dumb. So when you wear your cool low tops you have more confidence because you look so damn good in them-thus making you play better

actually I always wore the mid-high shoes.

They're the bomb.

You are obviously subconsiously keeping the geometry between your knee and your ankle in the correct plane. This ensures that the foot-lbs of torque is evenly distributed between both joints. When you are in high tops, you relax and this is not an issue. On second thought, who the hell knows?

Low tops > high tops:
Greater mobility in ankle range of motion due to a decrease in limitation of movement caused by excessive bulk at the ankle provided in high tops.

The real question is can you hit your freethrows . . .

mid-life slowdown. less force exerted.
hard to get injured on the bench. :D

A splinter in your butt is not to be taken lightly.

I was the high scorer tonight.

Funniest thing was that I got my hands on a pass and just knew I had a layup.

One of my own team mates tripped me and I went down hard. The whole game stopped to see if the old dude was hurt and I was yelling at the pinheads to go score. Asphalt is a little hard on the knees and palms.

Wish I'd thought of this one.

My ankles seem to be stronger right before I blew a knee out.

It's a freak deviation from the statistical norm. Every ankle rolled on the court I've seen has been in low tops. Of course, if a greater percentage of players are wearing low tops on the court I'm on, it would stand to reason that's why I see that phenomenon...

I guess I'm saying "I don't know."

Generally when I comment on my good luck, something soon happens to make me wish I had not mentioned it.
Good luck in your next game sas.

Seriously
