I got an offer to renew my Sporting News subscription for 2 years (120 issues) for $120.00........a buck an issue. That's about what it usually is to renew, maybe a little cheaper.

Well, I Googled The Sporting News and got some of those advertisements on the right hand column for cheap TSN subscriptions. One of which was a 2 year (120 issues) for like $8.00. Surely they will steal my credit card number, burn my house down or something for that price.

So is it a scam or what? (http://www.magsforless.com/pd_sporting.cfm?source=adwords&group=sporting_news)

Well, that's more positive reviews than I would've expected.

See, I was wondering because I'd rather pay $8 than $120.

Well..its more here...but its Amazon. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005N7U0/002-9718856-6587269?v=glance&n=599858)

So I don't think you'd have to worry about it being legit.

Or you could pay 18.86 through the Sporting News (http://register.sportingnews.com/subscriptions/index1.html?sourceid=subscribe)

Thats for one year.

That's for new subscriptions only I'd think. Some of those other websites specifically mentioned renewals.

I'm always afraid the innernets is trying to rob me.

Update: I used MagsForLess, paid less than $20 for a two year renewal and it has already been updated on my Sporting News account.

So......two thumbs up.
