so i get authorization to take my client dev team to lunch today. they unanimously choose wendy's. that should have been enough to warn me of my impending doom, but noooooo, like stevie wonder driving i couldn't see the signs. on the drive there, i began to clue in. by the time they started arguing about what the best memory for a mac was, i was pretty much in full realization of my mortality. well, it was either that or the fact that one (all?) hadn't showered since puberty. still not sure how i'm going to get my sheepskins clean (kidding, no really i am).

at wendy's i came to know the full effects of shame as only someone in the middle of an argument over which godzilla was the best can know. the 16 year old chick in front of me was looking at them like they were a circus sideshow. i just looked pleadingly at her and said "kill me. now!" she, of course, was dressed as a pudgy bratz doll which made me feel even more less motivated to keep my heart beating. it would seem the new craze is to cover the paunchy belly with a shirt and just wear lower pants. much much lower pants. seriously, real life kiddy porn.

the one item that gave me the will to continue was seeing a postal truck in a handicapped parking spot because the guy was too lazy to walk any farther. i got a pic of that for the dean files ;)

i'd describe their shirts as "filthy". this was me after i met them

2. i live across the street from an "alternative" arts high school (and i support that) but the kiddy porn/bratz thing i see everyday. and the school wide smoke break at about 10:00--woe to you sleeping late and having a heavy cloud of Marlboro smoke rolling in through the open window (from across the street!). thank gawd they finish up this week.
