We are trying to figure out how to schedule the office for the 4th. Are most companies closing on Monday? Just Tue? Or no days off?
If everyone is at the lake on Monday, it would be bad to be open.

Oh, and as much as I'd like to, I can't close two days.

The holiday is Tuesday, the 4th, so I do suspect a lot of people will takle
the 3rd off.

I'm closing my office on just the 4th, but I know others that are off the 3rd and 4th. It's gonna be a weird week, off for the weekend, then working one day, then off one day, then back again to work.

Can you work out a trade? Like, you can have off Mon and Tue but in return I'd like to have a slightly used iPod.

where i work we're closed just on the 4th ... but the 3rd is my bday so i'll be out both days (and will be out both night too)

right now we are scheduled to be off only on the 4th. We're HOPING they give in and give us monday off as well.

I'm heading to LA that week though, so it doesn't really matter. It would just mean either using 3 vacation days or 4.

I understand, I'm 27 but even when I was 22 I never took off of work for my b-day.

Well, my office is only closed on the 4th, but my office staff has apparently gotten leave approved for the 3rd and 5th. Guess I'll be answering my own phone those days. :P

We are closed only on the 4th. I have a feeling it will be pretty dead around here on the 3rd though.

why would anyone get to take the 3rd off? Last i checked that wasn't a holiday, but i agree it would be nice for the people that can do it
