then you area a heartless, souless beyonce.

I've seen Saving Private Ryan several times, and every time, the opening
scene on Normandy makes me appreciate that generation of Americans even
more. The character, courage, integrity and plain ol' guts of these men is
second to none.

This is why I say put six rounds in the chest of ANYONE that protests
ANY MILITARY FUNERAL FOR ANY REASON!

If a person were protesting a funeral that I was attending I would probably go kick the living **** out of them

I'm good through SPR until Hanks' character Capt. Miller is about to die, just as the P-51's blast the Germans back across the river. Knowing the ending of the movie, I have to turn it off there. If I wait until the flag starts waving, I break.

It is my #1 movie of all time.

It is also difficult to watch the WW2 guys dying off, but still coming out on Memorial Day to honor their fallen brethren, and honor their country.

God Bless all our Veterans, forever and always.

That's the most impressive part. Those guys are brothers till then end,
and in heaven to follow.

A moment to brag on my grandfather - he was awarded a special commendation from the commander of the pacific fleet for superior
performance in extreme danger.

He cut several unexploded torpedos out of the hulls of ships UNDERWATER,
and patched them so they could return to battle ASAP.

And that is just one example of the stuff that generation did.

My grandmother had three brothers who all served in WWII.
They all made it back, including one who made the Death March on Baton.

We can never repay our soldiers for what they have done for us.
