Is upon us. I'm starting to get emails from people I have never even heard of who are running for office. Eeek!

I'm not near as politically involved as I used to be for work reasons, yet I still get random candidate emails.

I'm not near as politically involved since I renounced socialism, yet I still get random candidate emails.

How is Balkman doing up there in the Hillbilly Capital?

Balkman is one of the good ones, so I hope all of you up there support the guy.

I know from when I ran that running for public office is one of the toughest things that you can do. It's time consuming and you're putting yourself out there for all of the abuse (and praise) that goes with the territory.

If a candidate or especially a volunteer comes to your door or calls you on your phone try not to be rude. These people are out there working because they believe in the candidate or believe they can make a difference in the world. There are some bad ones to be sure, but most of them are just trying to do the right thing ESPECIALLY your average grass roots volunteer who is likely to be the one at your door or on the phone.

Also, myself and a good friend of mine have opened up a blog. I mentioned it a few days ago, but we've got our first post up. I'm going to run the risk of posting the URL here for you all to visit. But be kind!
