I need to get a laptop for medical school and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about tablet PCs? I've been looking at them and it looks like they would come in real handy when taking notes on a PowerPoint presentation or something like that. Does anybody know which brand would be the best to get and which is the sturdiest? The only reason I am hesitant is because it seems that the single swivel notch would breakdown and become unhinged very easily. Any help is appreciated.

i'm not sure if you really get what you pay for with those...

i think a MacBook would be a better deal

I can't speak to the tablets but a lot of people in my class use the mac's and really seam to like them. However, if you are mainly going to use it to take notes in class I would hold off. You will probably find that going to class in med school is more often than not a waste of good study/sleep time.

Apple Newton. Seriously, those are still more kickass than a lot of the palms and tablets out there.....
