I always liked the phrase "Ain't nothin but a thang." If I were an elderly black blues singer with no eyesight and a dog named Boo, I would write a song called "Ain't nothin but a thang."

But since I am white, can't sing, my eyes function reasonably well, and my dog is named Ruby, I shall not.
