12. Oklahoma State
14. Oklahoma
16. Nebraska

OU is somewhat back in the mix for a top 8 seed. Before today's win, they were #10 in the RPI. This weekend might push Nebraska out. OSU probably won't get one because their RPI isn't that great (#13) due to a terrible OOC schedule. Texas getting swept was about as meaningless as it gets in college baseball. Coming into today's loss (which won't do anything dramatic to the RPI), Texas still had the #3 RPI in the country and already had the conference locked up.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's the Big 12 Tournament schedule:

Wednesday
10: (4) Nebraska vs. (5) Baylor
1: (1) Texas vs. (8) Texas Tech
5: (3) Oklahoma vs. (6) Kansas
8: (2) Oklahoma State vs. (7) Missouri

Thursday
5: (1) Texas vs. (5) Baylor
8: (4) Nebraska vs. (8) Texas Tech

Friday
5: (3) Oklahoma vs. (7) Missouri
8: (2) Oklahoma State vs. (6) Kansas

Saturday
10: (5) Baylor vs. (8) Texas Tech
1: (4) Nebraska vs. (1) Texas
5: (2) Oklahoma State vs. (3) Oklahoma
8: (6) Kansas vs. (7) Missouri

OU probably has the best first round matchup in the conference. If any team lacks an "ace" to throw that game, it would be Kansas. But the second and third games are going to be extremely tough. Missouri will likely throw Scherzer in game two and OSU in game 3 is never easy.

getting swept by KSU has to sting for Baylor. what happened to ATM, they really suck.

They sucked for awhile, but it got even worse when three of their better players quit the team a week or two ago and their best starting pitcher got hurt for the season against Baylor about a month ago.

It pleasures me that UT was swept this weekend. Yes, I know it was a meaningless serires for UT, but not for Mizzou.

but not for Mizzou.
Depends on how you look at it. For Missouri, their magic number to clinch a tourney spot was one. And that was clinched on Friday. After that, it Mizzou was locked into the #7 seed in the Big 12 Tourney.

And they don't really have a shot of getting into the regionals unless they win the Big 12 Tourney. They're 62 in the RPI.

Well, OU has their work cut out for them, I agree, KU should provide little problems, but they will have to play A ball to get past both MU and OSU...

Thx again for the updates...

Hale didn't quit.

edit: nevermind, i see what i'm looking for in the other Big XII thread.

aTm will be back. They will be a pitching juggernaught in the next half decade.

why would mizzou throw there ace in the second game and not against state. Just being curious, really cuz i dont want to face scherzer.

He's had some elbow tendonitis problems this year so they're going easy with him. He threw 7 innings against Texas on Friday so I think that it's highly doubtful that he's going to come back on short rest. I'd expect them to throw Culp in game one because he didn't start a game over the weekend.

leftfield...Yeah, I don't know why I said quit. I had heard most of the Hale story.
