When you are going to drop a fairly good chunk of change on something, and they don't make it the "way" you want it.

I broke my Oakley sunglasses last year, so I'm looking to get a new pair. Want something I can golf in, play softball in, take to the lake, etc. So I find the frame I like, and find the lense I like, and they tell me they don't make that combination. Its not like it is some exotic combination like pink frame with purple lense.....NO.....its a black frame with a black lense. Can't be made.

My son workes at the Oakley store in Tulsa, his name is Jeff. Oakley carries replacement lenses for all their glasses, much cheaper than new glasses. I think they replacement lenses are around $40. They will put them in the frames for you, if you want them to.

Before my son started working at Oakley, my nephew broke a pair of glasses, that were about 4 years old, and Oakley replaced them for like $20. They have a website.

There is a place on 21st west of Lewis (Near Utica Square). It's in a refurbished older house. I took my Wife's glasses there as it needed a small fastener to keep the lens in place. They did it for free while I was waiting. I tried to give them something and they refused to let me.

Optics is the name of it I think.

Anyway...I looked around for awhile and they have all the nice high end stuff.

Seem like good folks too.
