She wants to talk to Doris, our secretary. doris is on the other line. The lady wanted to hold. How long do I leave her there before I check back on her?

I get tired of hearing the gawl danged phone ring because Doris is always yapping to someone and it seems that only my office has line 3. the other two guys can't/won't answer line 3.
