My home computer has this problem. Everytime I try to type in a new web address into the browser, it'll go to that website, then give me an error message and shut down all of my open browsers.

I tried to do a system restore, but it won't restore any of my previous versions. I ran a bunch of antivirus and spyware removers, and that didnt work.

I'm pretty sure its a virus, right? Anything else I can do? Anybody else had this happen?

Don't go to any new websites...stick with what you got.

I have no idea.

Because I'm not a dork like crawfish.

I'm an entirely different kind of dork.

What browser do you use?

Honestly, it sounds less like a virus and more like some corruption in the file system. Try clearing your cache, history and cookies. If that doesn't work and you're not using IE, try to uninstall/reinstall the browser. If you ARE using IE, USE A DIFFERENT BROWSER (Firefox).

Sounds like a virus, or your browser has been hijacked.

Using IE?

Yes, I use IE. No, I'm not switching to another one.

I'll try cleaning out the cache, that may work.

Using IE?

That's code for Internet Explorer, Stan.

Sounds like either spyware gone bad or a LSP stack issue. Do a search for "LSP fix", read about it and see if that describes your problems. It's an easy fix if that's what is causing it.

That fixed it. That is why you'll always be my computer nerd Crawfish. Always. :D

Thanks.

Now that you have fixed it, you need to get better virus and spam protection if you are going to surf the pron sites.
