Any of you hillbillies ever go to one of these? Just got back from this year's house in Nichols Hills.

The movie theatre is sweet. I'm totally gonna get one of those. However, I will say that the movie theatre in the Hodges house two years ago (also in Nichols Hills) was way cooler.

The separate servant's staircase is also sweet. I hate it when people see my servants.

The kids' playroom was just awesome. All the rooms have names, and this one was called "Just Nanny and Me." How cute! But, naturally it's just nanny and the kid. Because I'm usually off getting sauced somewhere. Probably with the pool boy.

12,000 square feet of expensive, decoratey goodness. Take your wives. Ignore the red hat ladies. They hate that.

Some of those red hat ladies need to be kicked in the junk.

BSG, I am authorizing you to kick me in the junk if I ever show up in a frilly red hat.

BlondeSoonerGirl

And I gladly accept this appointed position.

Because I'll prolly be with you and I ain't rollin' with no one wearing a frilly red turd-a$$ hat.

I bet getting kicked in the man junk hurts more than getting kicked in the lady junk. Has anyone here had both and can verify this?

Answer him, Pat.

The police officer that patrols the neighborhood where my school is, has, I believe, experienced both hoo-hoo's. I'll ask her/him which hurts more next time she has to come pick up one of our hoodlums, I mean students.

Is there any other question you'd like to know?

Norm In Norman

There's one of those things that works here. I'm not gonna ask ... whatever it is ... any questions like that. or any questions about anything.

Sounds like something else needs some attention...

The Huntington house was very nicely done.

I'll probably go again before the tour is over.

I haven't been to this year's. I liked the Dolese Mansion the best. And one year they hosted it at that house across from Faculty House on Lincoln. Last year it was in Heritage. I have no desire to see one in NH really.

NH has no desire to see you, either!

NH has no desire to see you, either! :mad:To me the homes in NH for the most part lack the character of some of the other older neighborhoods with larger homes.

Who hasn't? Oh, that's right. The kid who needed 4 million posts by the end of the month so his friend would mercy**** him.

I really like that I posted mercy**** in a thread titled "OKC Symphony Designers Show House." Just keepin' it classy, San Diego.

I've been to a couple of the ones in NH. I think it was the Hodge's house (before they bought it) just north of the Country Club, the old Brown (?) home a block north and just east of the Country Club. They were nicely decorated and fun to tour.

I think they also had it one year at the house at 38th & Western. It was strangely decorated......

Yeah... the Hodges house was definitely my favorite so far. That movie theatre and the Vegas billiards room were spectacular. I guess the original owner made his fortune in the theatre business.

This year's house was a little blah. There wasn't any one room that made me want to run home and redecorate something like there has been in previous years.

My m-i-l knew the Shambours (sp?) before they made all of their money. She used to go over to that house to play tennis. I loved the movie theatre and the breakfast room.

I miss going to them. The show homes down here are usually not as fun - nothing you would ever think to do to your home.

I really liked the one in Heritage last year, except they had painted the bedrooms really dark so it made the rooms look small. These show houses are always fun, but I prefer the HH Homes Tour and others like it.
