Larry Birdine returns punts? :D

I was re-watching the 2000 RRS and JT ran a punt back about 40 or 50 yards. It was a thing of beauty.

Next week, I will watch him return a KO against KSU, circa 2000, all the way to the goal (one ref calls it a TD before another overturns the call).

you think THAT was beauty......

we'll set the tone..... 60 degrees overcast in south bend indiana perfect football weather.... the ND faithful out in full force to show us "okies" how football is played and damn near paid for it.

i remember watching bob davie kicking to him again.......

I turned to my best freind (serious ND fan) and said "is he kicking to thatcher again?" "apprently. he's not a smart man but he knows what love is"

he had a wholebuncha punt return yards that game.

Yeah, that guy always made the RRS interesting... :D Hopefully Colt McCoy or Jevan Snead learned a few tricks about how to seriously **** up an oppurtunity to seal the W deal.

Where do they grow guys like that? We need more!Wow, before I clicked on this thread I thought about how it was Antonio I missed the most.

A buddy of mine who owns a sporting good store sent me an autographed glossy of Antonio. He must have remembered me saying how much I loved watching him play. I really need to get a thank you card in the mail for him today.

I miss Martin Chase and his towel spinning.
I remember Martin Chase most because it was the first person I saw doing the 'raise the roof' thing with his arms.

Memories. Alas, we grow up so fast.

Except martin.

Don't forget the greatest player ever from Lawton was Will Shields who sadly became the first Okie to play for the Huskers, I think.
