I (not me) got this email today from a friend of this guy. Crazy...

> I've told you guys before about my co-worker (Greg Sandifer), whose
> Dad is a pretty serious fisherman (Marlin Tournaments). Greg went
> fishing this past week to the Hatteras - Bertram Shootout, a 61 boat bill fish tournament.
> Greg did not catch a Marlin, but on his first day, he did hook up to
> what they knew would be a large fish. He got the hit around 1:00pm,
> was fishing with 100lb line on, the fish took out 1500 yards of line,
> before the boat could start backing down on it..by the way, they were
> in 6,000 feet of water. The fish was brought in to the boat after
> 5:00 pm..it set a record for the largest Tuna ever caught in the area.
> 900+lbs. Tournament rules prevent any person besides Greg, from
> touching the reel.the fish, probably died in the first hour and
> half.then he has to reel it back in to the boat by himself..he nearly passed out, the boat mates were hosing him down.
>
> It will be in a lot of magazines (the whole tournament had Tuna steaks
> from it), the skipper (to the right in the last pic, is 6'6" tall) the
> fish was 120" long..Fish of a lifetime.
