Don't get yourself kilt by being a fool. If you can't see up and down the tracks far enough to be safe and there are no lights, take a few seconds and stop to take a look.

Sad story about that family on mothers day, dead mommy, ten year old and infant daughters. Dad and 2 year old in hospital.:(

I completely agree. There has never been a train accident that wasn't the crosser's fault. There should be absolutely ZERO train-hitting-car accidents. There's no excuse.

Jiminy Cricket. Follow his advice. Stop, look, and listen. It's that easy.

Train accidents drive me crazy. Especially when you get local resident 4 through 8 telling "How dangerous that crossing is! Someone's always getting kilt! I seen it twice!"

The intersection isn't dangerous. What's dangerous is the impatience of people that can't take 10 seconds from thier busy run to the store to avoid a violent death and or trauma for them and thier passengers.

OK, rant over.

We have car/train wrecks all the time down here. I just don't get it,
has any car ever won a battle with a train?
