Anyone with experience using Autotrader.com?

I am selling my pick up, and I am curious if anyone has had any experience with autotrader or any of the other used car websites.

Thoughts, opinions, advice??

yes. i've bought and sold one on autotrader.com.


your money is much better spent on an autotrader ad than listing it in the newspaper.

only good experiences for me.
used it to determine fair market value for several cars.
put an ad in on a pickup last year and had 3 calls within 2 days of it coming out and sold the truck within a week.
If you have a "specialty" car/truck, it will probably take longer, but if you have a "common" desirable driver, you will find someone looking in your price bracket easily.
I would also guess it depends on where you are located. If you are in a small town many miles from "the big city", you will probably not get much response on a "common" driver.
If you are in the big city, you will more than likely find a buyer who lives nearby.

It's a Frontier 2000 with 62K miles and is in decent shape. Blue Book says around 6200.00 . I'm hoping for $5500-6K
Buying a new vehicle in the next couple of days- just found the right one , faster than I though I would.

i haven't sold on it, but i've bought my last 3 cars off of there. been very pleased with all 3 (the first two got totaled :mad: ).

i allllllllllllmost went to dallas to buy a p/u off a guy that had a great buy on it. instead, i found the one that i'm currently driving. you can get quite a wide range of people looking at your vehicle using autotrader.

also, don't bother using it unless you post a couple of pics of your car. you'll get ALOT more responses using pics.
