I saw his travelling show this past thursday at a local jazz and blues night club. It was well worth going. The old boy can still sing very well, although he's lost a lot of the power in his voice. He's 76 yrs old, now. Back in the early '60's he had a bunch of major hits. His super smooth voice reminds me a lot of the sound that Stevie Ray Vaughn had.

don't know if Storyville's Good Day for the Blues is famous or not - but he's mentioned in that.

is he menitoned in Lookenbaugh, Texas? or maybe it's a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band song. I know he's mentioned in a good one.
