In your swamp cooler. I just did that this morning. Man that thing was nasty:eddie: . Also new pump, float valve and anode thingy.:)

Yes they do . . . it's so nice not to have to worry about dealing with a swamp cooler anymore.

Changed my pads last weekend. Doubled the size of my pump and bent the float arm to add maybe 4 more gallons of water. Damn thing had me thinking of a fire in the fireplace that night.

Good thing I got it done. Supposed to be 90 + here tomorrow.

The Aspen pads are fine as long as you change them EVERY year.

You know, back in the early 60's, my grandfather had a swamp cooler in his car. On really hot days, he loaded it with ice water for long trips. That thing was awesome. Imagine my surpise when i did a quick GIS for automobile swampys and found this:
