Sex banned in business

A woman who goes into an office because she thinks herself pretty and hopes to meet romance in the form of her employer or a male colleague, or at least rise quickly because of her physical charm, has clerkship and chorusline mixed up. Sex is one thing that has no place in business.

Naturally, men like a feminine employee whose personality is attractive, rather than one who is strikingly the reverse - but business personality and liesure personality are two different things. They are sometimes combined in one person, and sometimes romance is an outcome of business, but that is the exception that proves the rule.

Of course, every man likes a woman who is neat, impersonal, efficient and polished, just as he admires a fine engine that is valve-ground, shining and ready to go the distance without any danger of breaking down. Thus, a successful woman's business personality has as its first attribute, efficiency, NOT sex appeal.
