Heard this on the radio this morning.

Each teach in the United States could have been paid a $100,000 cash
bonus for the costs of the war in Iraq.

Just think how much we could give them if we had no military at all.

I always liked the bumper sticker that said 'The world would be a better place if the AirForce had to have bake sales to buy bombers and the schools had something or another in terms of money'.

I always thought, yeah it would but we don't live in that world.

1. It's not as though if the war hadn't happened, we would've given any of that money to teachers anyway.

2. Not every teacher in the US deserves a $100,000 cash bonus. In fact, few if any do. I don't know of any profession where people get bonuses that are more than double their base salary.

Your logic and level-headed attitude is not welcome, anti-troll.

Many teachers aren't worth thier base pay, but thanks to teacher unions,
you basically can't touch them. The have to sleep with a student to get
into trouble.

For the ones that are good, they need more moolah!

As for this thread, it just shows how the government throws money at what
it percieves as a problem. IF healthcare, education and housing were issues
that politicians really cared about, than can make the budget work for it.

Why should we pay anything to teachers with tax dollars? Public education should be eliminated and the entire system privatized.

If they want a raise and can't get one quit and go to another job. Supply and demand gets raises not begging.
