Anybody going to the Dallas Sooner Caravan thingy on June 1? $10 per person, several coaches will be there. Not sure if they are having food yet.

I used to go to every OU Dallas thing that came down the pike...until they started charging for entrance. I pay for my season tickets, parking, a new hat every year, programs, drinks and goodies for everyone I take to the games, etc. So, once a fee became involved for visiting with the fans a few years back, I quit going. I just don't see the point of collecting a fee to listen to and possibly meet the coaches. It seems to me that enhancing the fans' goodwill to the school should already be a part of the coaching contract.

It was obvious Stanley was not very good. He was awful. You know what guys do? They respect your ability. You can be 90 years old, but if you can go out and play, they'll respect you. Stanley was not only an accountant, he was terrible. OK? There's no other way to say it.

The Sooner Club Caravan is set to visit Dallas bringing some of the biggest names in collegiate athletics. Bob Stoops, Sherri Coale, Joe Castiglione and new men’s basketball coach Jeff Capel headline the marquis stop on the summer rotation. Please be sure to get your RSVP in early as space is sure to go fast.
Here’s the scoop:
What: The Sooner Club Caravan
Where: Hilton Lincoln Centre Ballroom located at 5410 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX 75240. (The southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and LBJ Freeway)
When: 7:30 PM
Cost: $10 per person
Other: The Sooner Club is taking the RSVP’s and payments for this event.
